Biala at Tibor de Nagy

On January 6, Tibor de Nagy presents its fifth exhibition of paintings by Biala (1903-2000). The exhibition features over twenty works from the 1960s through the 1990s including selected works from the Harvey and Phyllis Lichtenstein Collection. Harvey Lichtenstein was an ardent supporter of new talent and the President of the Brooklyn Academy of Music from 1967-1999.

Janice Biala, Biala, Godwin-Terbach Museum, Queens College Museum

The Godwin-Ternbach Museum, Queens College, is pleased to present Biala: Vision and Memory, September 12-October 27, 2013. The exhibition is the first posthumous museum retrospective of American painter Janice Biala (1903-2000) ever held in New York. Curated by scholar Diane Kelder, the exhibition brings together work across seven decades of work including drawings from the late 1920s to paintings from the 1990s.
